American 1950 Diner

I've heard a lot about this restaurant called 

"American 1950 Diner"

from my friends, but never had the chance to go since it is in Florence. That's why during my holidays in Florence i was super curious to get there!

The place is designed as a 50's American little fastfood/restaurant, one of those i've seen in movies with cute waitress wearing little dresses and roller-skates (i'm not sure if it is the right word) and waiters wearing some kind of sailor uniform! So cool!!!

It all comes in this little chest, so americanish!! We all chose different types of burgers so we could see the variety! There's also an intruder hotdog.

This is my burger! I love fried eggs with raw yolk, so i chose this! To tell the truth i was a bit disappointed, looks super yummy but tastes like nothing. I guess it would have been better if in addition it had some special sauce.


Overall i like this place because it has some special atmosphere in it, but don't like the food so much, or at least the burgers! My cousin Jessica actually told me that she usually orders beef and other stuff and those are quite good!

We also chose the wrong day to go there since it was Easter Monday  and it was SO FULL of people. The staff were also half the original number and the waitresses were crazingly running on those rollers, i can't even imagine how many times i'd fall with them! So i don't really feel like complaining about the service. I totally understand as on weekend i work as a waitress as well!

I wanted to take more pictures with the cool location, it also has an old car inside, but really, too many people! Supercrazy

Italian Food + Awesome game "Freeing"!

I know it's not Easter anymore, but had no time to post it before. Ate at an italian restaurant for dinner that evening! Pictures not XL because bad quality la.

Actually it feels a bit weird to take pictures of everything when out with friends. How do other bloggers do?? Such a pain in the butt. Super anti-social being there...taking pictures of this and that, bothering others hahaha

After dinner we decided to try a game called Freeing in a new opened place. 

How it works: this place has some rooms, each room has a story that you have to "solve" in 45 mins. Since it is newly opened it only has 4 stories, we chose Studio Capovolto, which is a criminal case where we were the detectives! Felt like Conan

As a typical crime scene, a person died and we had to find who killed this person, why and moreover we had to find a key to get out of the room.

There were lockers, drawers, pictures, some papers with pieces of suspects' stories... it was pretty hard. Full of enigmas. In fact, we didn't solve the case.

We are failure detectives...so sad. But at least we found the key to get out, it's something! It actually began to be a bit scary to be in there, when you really get in the story and impersonate your role...creepy place and clues

I really liked it! I find it as something highly innovative here in Italy, usually the majority of italian people are not so interested in this kind of "childish" stuff, in fact the shop is opened by chinese people... Apparently there are a lot of these in China since ages!! People don't really go out to play games here, but i think this is great way to spend time with friends.

It's been a while, nothing special happened except, eating a lot of good stuff!

I usually HATE when people post food pictures... Me in my laziest position in front of my computer/smartphone starving and drooling while looking at those unreachable deliciousness

But, to be honest... Food pictures are the best!! Who can be more photogenic than a good plate of spaghetti? (non sense)

Tried this Neapolitan restaurant for the first time!

I like the furnishings, simple and clean but still unique with walls full of pictures and paintings!

My first original Neapolitan pizza! Doesn't look so good but soooo delicious!!!

My dessert, a Tiramisù! Didn't like it so much but you just can't say no to a dessert.

Next!

Sometimes i have to cook for myself, only problem, i can't cook.

Okay not so bad at all!! I can prepare salad, sandwiches, and cook crêpes, instant noodles and italian pasta with premade sauce.   Feel like a chef

was Chinese New Year (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ!!

I didn't celebrate much, just had a family lunch at home

Going home from work, what's better than a good icecream? My actual favourite icecream!!
